School directors, under pressure from parents to deliver a quality overall educational experience to students, increasingly are turning to companies that deliver a high quality sporting activity. Lesley Marks, Director at the Day School at Coral Springs says, "Parents are getting busier and busier and just don't have the time to bring their children to all the different gyms and clubs to introduce them to different sports with other children who are at a similar skill level. More and more children are staying after-school and Le Petit Tennis with their certified instructors made it easy for us to offer a high-level tennis program to our children in our after-care program. My parents love the convenience as while they are at work or running errands the children are having fun while learning valuable skills after school. It eases their mind to know that their children are learning tennis while in the comfort and safety of our school."

Donna Shrek, Director at Temple Beth AM adds, "Le Petit Tennis is a unique program that is educational, interactive and fun. It is designed to individually cater to a young child's needs. Children are led to proficiency through a journey of discovery. Le Petit Tennis instructors establish a motivating atmosphere of fun and guide children through story-oriented, circuit training activities leading them to achievement and success."

What makes the program unique? Jean explains, "The teaching method is based on the leading trends in international child tennis development. The leading countries in this field are France and Belgium. From France, we have imported the special age adapted equipment that cannot be found in the US and the teaching exercises that are best suited for young children. From Belgium, we adapted the story-oriented teaching method that engages a child's imagination and turns the tennis lesson into a tennis adventure."

Jean continues, "By learning from international trends and adapting them to the American school environment, we created the unique Le Petit Tennis Method. The results and feedback from parents and school directors alike has been tremendous. Many school directors tell us that our program is the one above all others brings the most quality to the children, in part by engaging the child's imagination. As an example, we ask a child to make the baby birdie (in reality, the tennis ball) fly over the Eiffel Tower (tennis net) where the mommy bird is waiting. With this approach, we go beyond tennis by bringing an educational link between what they learn in school and the monuments and animals that are found in the various countries in their tennis adventures. This concept is new and receives raves from school directors."

Sybile adds, "It is common for parents to call us wondering why their child wants to 'bring the baby duck to the mommy duck' or wants to 'save the baby turtles from the mean crocodiles'. I explain that the technical knowledge is being taught within the stories and the child's learning process is quicker and more efficient when the imagination is engaged and the child is having fun."

When asked what is next for Le Petit Tennis, Jean can barely hold back his enthusiasm, "We have made incredible strides already. We are operating in Florida and Alabama in over 100 schools from Jupiter to Miami with over 1000 children in the program. We are starting units in Tampa, Orlando, Texas, Arizona and even Canada. We have designed the program so that with the appropriate training and certification, anyone who loves children and has the skills and desire to run his or hew own business can start a Le Petit Tennis unit. We are now seeking applicants to start Le Petit Tennis businesses around Florida and the USA. We are excited as our mission is to bring a high-quality tennis program that stresses and encourages general fitness and coordination to children in their school environment all over the USA is close to fulfillment. All we need to do now is to find the right people for the mission."

This is one mission that looks to be a win-win for all involved.
